Services are provided for children, teenagers and adults. It is the objective of our services to develop the potential of each person they serve. We recognise that each person has the same rights and needs as other members of the community and strives to ensure that all individuals participate in their local community. St. Joseph's Training Centre returned to Snipe Avenue, Newcastle, Galway City in 2003 to its new purpose built centre. It provides a comprehensive rehabilitative training programme for young adults over the age of 18 years who have a learning disability. The programme usually runs for four years but can be shorter depending on the needs of the trainees. There are twelve centres throughout the city and county, including Employment Centres and Adult Day Services. Each day service provides opportunities for a range of employment, training, leisure and social experiences. |
