FIG (Fonds International de Garantie) is a non-profit guarantee fund based in Geneva, created in 1996 by organizations in Europe, Latin America and Africa.
By providing bank guarantees to MFIs, FIG expands the resources available to small entrepreneurs, thus promoting development and fighting poverty. Since its inception, FIG has assisted 53 MFIs and agriculture cooperatives across 17 countries in Latin America and Africa, and helped to create over 250,000 jobs. FIG receives funding from public development organizations, private foundations, and socially responsible investors. |
