We invest in agricultural science and technology for sustainable productivity gains, improvements of the natural resource base, credit and risk management tools, and better food quality and standards. Agricultural extension and rural services are scaled up to enable adoption of effective inputs and practices. We work to catalyze value chains in domestic and foreign markets, productively and gainfully associating smallholders. We also build public-private partnerships in seed and other input systems, certification, contract farming, agro-environmental services, product processing and transformation, marketing and retailing. The Foundation strives to enhance the capabilities of smallholder farmers to satisfy standards and food safety requirements, enabling diversification of the rural economy for job creation. |
