Since 1963, A Better Chance has been transforming lives through educational opportunities. Nearly 1,900 A Better Chance Scholars are enrolled in one of our more than 300 Member Schools. After graduation, each Scholar is able to look forward to a college degree and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to their communities and our global society. This has been a proud and momentous year in which A Better Chance placed a record 544 new Scholars in a growing national network of more than 300 Member Schools. Your support helped launch these dynamic, talented young people on a path to leadership. A Better Chance is the oldest and only national organization of its kind changing the life trajectory for academically talented youth of color via access to rigorous and prestigious educational opportunities for students in grades 6-12.
Mission
Our mission is to increase substantially the number of well-educated young people of color who are capable of assuming positions of responsibility and leadership in American society.
