Wildlife Habitat Protection Trust

The Wildlife Habitat Protection Trust was established in 2006. We are a registered charity and our work involves working closely with local communities and wider audiences to establish develop and maintain natural conservation areas. Many wildlife habitats and natural areas are fast disappearing as more and more land is reclaimed for agriculture and commercial development; development of these areas has led to the destruction of natural habitats and breeding grounds of many wildlife species. As a result of this, the existence of certain species of birds and animals are now threatened, thus highlighting the importance of such conservation projects. Conservation is now of major importance with many species of birds and animals that were once common in this Country, becoming quite scarce. If action is not taken to protect breeding grounds and habitats of our less frequently seen species, wildlife that we take for granted now will become a rare sight in years to come. The Old Park Plantation provides us with a great opportunity to secure a safe haven and breeding ground for a wide variety of wildlife.
