Wells for India is UK charity working on water related projects in Rajasthan in north west India. Our focus is on water: the provision of sufficient clean water for drinking, cooking, washing, the animals and for crops, all the things we take for granted here. We also are involved in a number of associated projects including health and education. One of our aims is to improve the health of children in desert schools, many of which have no clean water or sanitation. The installation of roof water harvesting tanks and latrines is accompanied by a new curriculum on personal health and hygiene. Our self help groups continue to meet and are involved in a range of activities including income generation and health and sanitation awareness
