We ensure everyone has the right to walk as the basic means of human movement, without restriction and fear and expect that councils and other organisations that have responsibility to pedestrians to have clear development and maintenance standards for footpaths and walkways and apply them. We have involvements with councils and organisations that have responsibility to pedestrians in an advocacy role, to ensure that priority projects are identified in national and local planning and to set up a 'reporting' process for problems. |
