Showing true grit, the fun-loving fundraiser who wants to raise money for the popular charity, Help for Heroes, says he won't be thwarted by thugs who viciously assaulted him as he embarked on a whacky fundraising trip across France, complete with his office chair.
Mr Dawson-Goodey, a marketing exec, who is hitch-hiking across France to Germany with his office chair to take part in the Office Chair Racing World Championship, had the fun taking out of his trek when he was violently pounced on and hospitalised near Amiens, France in the early hours of the morning, earlier this month.

He was mugged at a service station by thieves who stole his passport and money. The sustained assault included being hit over the head...
Speaking from his hospital bed he said: "I've set out to raise money for Help for Heroes and that is exactly what I plan to do. I am not going to let these people stop me..."
A spokesperson for Dawson-Goodey has said that thankfully he is recuperating and in good spirits and looks set to continue his fundraising efforts.
