The charity generates funds from sponsorship and entrance fees at venues in southern England.
The fishing events offer prizes including prizes for the best catch and most sponsorship raised, along with a social family friendly atmosphere for participants.
The events have been featured in the Angling Times, the Keith Arthur show on TalkSport and SkySports and are backed by a large number of sponsors including CEMEX Angling...
The charity also benefits from a who’s who of angling all-stars as its patrons, including broadcaster Keith Arthur, Mike Heylin, Chairman of the Angling Trust; and respected fishermen Martin Bowler, Terry Hearn and Ian Chillcott.
The charity's next big event is the sponsored fish-in entitled Carpaholixx in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support at the Yateley Complex on the weekend of Friday August 10, Saturday August 11 and Sunday August 12, 2012.
The charity says this will be its 16th and last Yateley event under the CEMEX Angling banner... with all anglers urged to raise as much in sponsorship money as possible... A prize raffle will also take place on the Sunday with various prizes on offer...
