The 'mellow' singer songwriter and campaigner is setting off on an extensive acoustic tour in aid of charity.
Known for albums such as The Pretender Browne's tour starts on July 14 in Charlotte, North Carolina and continues until November, with the singer/guitarist scheduled to appear on November 15 in Colorado Springs.
The summer tour also includes a performance at Newport Folk Festival on July 29; as well as a show at the Beacon Theatre in New York on August 8. The concerts will see proceeds from each ticket sale to charity.
Tickets are also available from the Guacamole Fund, a charity supporting grass-roots activities promoting environmental and wildlife conservation as well as social equality projects...
The singer is a passionate supporter of positive environmental action, human rights, and increasingly arts education; and has supported a wide number of charities including Amnesty International, Artists for Peace and Justice, Children's Defence Fund, Farm Aid, Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, The Black Eyed Peas Foundation, WhyHunger and others.
Browne is also a co-founder of the orgs Musicians United for Safe Energy (MUSE), Nukefree, and Success Through the Arts Foundation, a charity which provides education opportunities for students in South Los Angeles.
