Co-founded by Clooney and activist John Prendergast, the SSP is a non-profit org that monitors the borders of Sudan via satellite for signs of conflict, in order to prevent the return of full-scale civil war between Northern and Southern Sudan....

The SSP supports other human rights charities including Not On Our Watch and the Enough Project, both with a long-term association with Clooney...

The Enough Project was co-founded by Gayle Smith and John Prendergast...and similarly raises awareness via media campaigns and advocacy for human rights issues, historically in places like Sudan, Somalia, and other areas of Africa...

SSP plays a crucial role in efforts to reduce conflict along the Sudan borders producing images of relevance that are disseminated to news outlets, policymakers and fellow humanitarian orgs...

Clooney's auction for this good cause will take place at the Pebble Beach Equestrian Center, the sale run by the Gooding & Company auction house...
