We've brought together some of the world's top aircraft restoration experts, we've been spreading the word at Farnborough, and we've made a major announcement in our efforts to return a Mosquito to the skies over Britain....

We would also like to give very sincere thanks to all of our recent donors supporting us across the globe, from the USA to South Africa, to Australia. We really appreciate your support! More thanks, too, to those who have opted to donate monthly. This is a great help.

Our team attended this year’s Farnborough International Airshow in July. We were there during the business trade week, which was a perfect opportunity for us to seek out new corporate sponsors and industry backing.

Our Principal Officer and Chief Engineering Advisor secured support from a number of industry organisations and certification bodies. In all, our presence was a great success and it gave our team the opportunity to increase our industry and public exposure across an international audience.

As some of you may have seen already, we were delighted to announce at Farnborough that our Trust has reached a commercial understanding with John Romain's Aircraft Restoration Company (ARC) based at Duxford.

ARC will be working with our team and Avspecs Ltd to provide Design Authority Oversight during the build phase of our project. This CAA/EASA governed oversight is crucial to ensure that our selected Mosquito is built to the standards required for a permit to fly sign-off by the UK CAA.

At Duxford in August, we were able to bring together Warren Denholm, of Avspecs, and John Romain, of ARC, for a meeting with our senior management team.

The main purpose of the meeting was to outline the aircraft build and flight validation timeframe, while also taking the opportunity to discuss ongoing maintenance requirements after delivery to the UK. Warren and our team were also treated to an insightful tour of the ARC facility - taking in the engineering capabilities of the professionals working on several active warbird projects.

Needless to say, with Avspecs and ARC working together we are one crucial step closer to returning a Mossie to the skies over the UK. With your continuing financial support, of course!
