From Lusaka to Livingstone, Kabwe to Mongu & Rufunsa to Kitwe, CONTESA small grants are making a huge difference & bringing dreams alive.

In our last 4 blogs we have featured Hope & Faith Christian Community School, Zambia Association for Children with Disabilities, Youth Support Initiative (YSI) Kitwe and the Albino Foundation of Zambia whose support of disadvantaged and vulnerable children reaches all corners of Zambia.

The blog today features the 'Chinthili Community School, Rufunsa' which supports orphans & vulnerable children. Chinthili provides food, education & community development and participates in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Chinthili supports 146 children from grade 1-7 but given their limited funds (latest annual income was just £2,115) the teachers are not paid and are all voluntary.

Unfortunately Rufunsa has no government secondary school or hospital. Illiteracy levels are extremely high. Rufunsa is only 150 km away from Lusaka and yet the people are living in absolute poverty. CONTESA made a grant towards the school's feeding programme.

Please help us to continue our small grants programme & assist small grass root organisations like Chinthili.
